Privacy Policy
Effective July 9, 2026 · Last updated July 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Own Yourself Now (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”), operator of ownyourselfnow.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, and shares information about you. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The short version: we collect the email address and the track you select when you join the waitlist, so we can tell you when a cohort opens and send you related updates. We use a third-party form provider to receive it, we do not sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect the information you submit — primarily your email address and the path you select (“Start to Own” or “Buy to Own”), plus any message you send. If you enroll in a paid program, our payment processor collects the information needed to process payment.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and form providers may automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability. As built, the Site does not set advertising cookies or run third-party analytics. If we add analytics or cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and provide any notice required.
2. How we use your information
- to add you to the waitlist and notify you when cohorts open;
- to send you educational updates and our newsletter (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- to respond to your questions and provide the Services;
- to operate, secure, and improve the Site;
- to comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf — for example, our website host and waitlist-form provider (Netlify), our email-forwarding provider (ImprovMX), a scheduling tool (such as Google Calendar) if you book a session, and a payment processor if you enroll in a paid program. These providers may process data outside your state or country.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers — if the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties that maintain their own privacy policies, including Netlify (hosting and waitlist forms), ImprovMX (email forwarding), a scheduling tool such as Google Calendar, and a payment processor if you enroll in a paid program. We encourage you to review their policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, and then delete or anonymize it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your rights”).
6. Your rights and choices
You may, at any time: access the information we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; and unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message. To make a request, contact us at info@ownyourselfnow.com.
California residents. Under California law (including the CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, contact us at info@ownyourselfnow.com.
Individuals in the EU/UK. If applicable, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the GDPR/UK GDPR. Our lawful bases are your consent (for marketing) and our legitimate interests (to operate the Site). You may withdraw consent at any time.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Do Not Track
The Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice.
