Privacy
People here are careful about their information for good reasons. So this page is short, specific, and written in the first person — not assembled from a template.

We never sell your information.
Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to law firms, not to anyone. There is no data business here.
We never ask about your status.
No form on this site asks for your visa, your case number, or your immigration history. If you volunteer facts in a session, we do not record them.
One click ends it.
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold.
Your name and email address, when you give them to enrol or to ask for dates. Which programmes you ticked. Whether you agreed to receive The Dispatch.
If you buy something: the record of that purchase — what, when, how much — and whatever Stripe returns to us to confirm it. We never receive your full card number.
If you write to us: whatever you choose to put in the message. Please do not send case numbers or copies of documents; we do not need them and would rather not hold them.
If you arrive from a link we shared, we keep the label on that link so we know which one worked. It records where you came from and nothing about you.
To send you the dates, links and receipts you asked for; to run the programme you paid for; to answer your message; and, only if you ticked the box, to send occasional letters. That is the whole list. We do not profile you, score you, or build an advertising audience out of you.
A small number of service providers, each doing one job: our payment processor for charges and refunds, our email provider to deliver mail you asked for, our video platform to host live sessions, and our hosting provider to serve this site. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for anything of their own.
We disclose information otherwise only if the law requires it. If that ever happened, we would tell you unless we were forbidden to.
Purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Interest-list entries until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and in any case not more than two years after your last contact with us.
Session recordings for thirty days, then deleted. Chat and questions typed during a session are not retained after the run ends.
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — write to us and we will do it, normally within a few days. Deleting your record does not delete a purchase we are legally required to keep, and we will say so if that applies.
California residents have specific rights under state law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Exercising any of these rights costs you nothing and changes nothing about how you are treated here.
Traffic to this site is encrypted. Access to the small amount of data we hold is limited to the people who need it to run programmes. No system is perfect; if something went wrong that affected you, we would tell you promptly and plainly.
Write to [email protected], or by post to Heritage Platform Group, Inc., Santa Clara, California. A person reads it.
A note on why this matters here
If you would rather not give us anything at all, do not. The Library is free and ungated, nothing in it asks for an email address, and every figure is cited so you can check it without us. That is a real option and we would rather you took it than handed over details you are uneasy about.
